Valdez Alaska - The Base for Pangaea Adventures

Valdez Alaska is located in the most northly port in Prince William Sound. Surrounded by the chugach mountains, the small town of 4500 residents is the gateway to Prince William Sound. The area offers amazing kayaking, hiking, fishing and overall great views. The city has all of the services a resident or traveler could need. There is even an international airport serviced from Anchorage. Valdez also has 2 grocery stores, a handful of hotels and restaurants, a community college and a large hospital. Pangaea Adventures chose Valdez as the main office location for the access to these services and more. This is where we depart for most of our kayak tours and is also well positioned to explore Wrangell St. Elias National Park.
